Production Engineer – Rigless Operations

About the role

The Production Engineer will lead rigless operations, testing and stimulation activities to optimise oil and gas producing wells, as well as water and gas injection wells. The role provides technical support to field operations, ensuring efficient hydrocarbon production and injection processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare programs for rigless operations, perforation, kick‑off, stimulation and well testing to be executed by service companies.
• Coordinate and supervise multi‑rate production/injection tests, isochronal tests and wireline operations.
• Perform preliminary interpretation of test results, production logging and downhole equipment performance.
• Monitor and analyse performance of oil/gas producing, water injection and gas injection wells.
• Investigate well problems, propose remedial actions and recommend workovers with justification.
• Review water injection cluster performance and discuss long‑term injection tests with engineering teams.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of well history, production and injection statistics.
• Participate in technical studies related to water/gas injection, artificial lift and facilities optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in petroleum engineering, including rigless operations and well testing.
