Project Accountant

About the role

The Project Accountant will support Pearl City Construction’s project teams in Dubai by maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring costs, and ensuring timely reporting. Working closely with Project Managers and Controllers, the role combines office‑based accounting tasks with on‑site financial oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain precise accounting records for assigned construction projects.
• Track and analyse project costs, identifying opportunities to improve margins.
• Book monthly personnel and equipment allocations based on Operations input.
• Assist Project Controllers/Managers with cost and revenue recognition.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly project reports in line with deadlines.
• Develop monthly project forecasts in collaboration with the Project Controller.
• Manage cash flow and produce cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure all project reports reconcile with entries in the Oracle ERP system.
• Participate in corporate accounting and administrative initiatives.
• Support the Integrated Management System and engage with internal and external auditors.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Controllers, Finance Department and Business Control Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Recognised qualification in accounting or cost control.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar role within civil engineering or EPC companies.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Valid UAE driving licence (role involves both office and site work).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle ERP for accounting and reporting.
