Project Control Manager – Offshore Projects

About the role

The Project Control Manager will lead the Project Controls function for a major offshore project, providing strategic oversight of planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management and performance reporting. The role is based onsite at the client or contractor office in Abu Dhabi and supports ADNOC offshore initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary Project Controls team (Planning Engineers, Cost Engineers, Risk Specialists, Reporting Engineers).
• Develop, implement and maintain integrated project schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start‑up.
• Review and approve EPC contractor baseline schedules, monitor critical paths and conduct delay analysis.
• Establish cost control systems, track budgets, commitments and expenditures, and produce regular cost reports and dashboards.
• Perform earned‑value analysis, progress measurement and forecasting to ensure accurate cost and cash‑flow projections.
• Identify schedule and cost risks, conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC project execution, governance and reporting standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years (180 months) of experience in project controls for offshore or large‑scale oil & gas projects.
• Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary controls teams.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle, cost engineering, risk management and performance reporting.
• Ability to communicate complex data to senior management and support decision‑making.
