Project Control Specialist I

About the role

Worley is seeking a Project Control Specialist I to support cost control, monitoring, forecasting and financial reporting for its PMC Portfolio projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures accurate project data, analyses performance, and prepares reports that aid decision‑making across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) aligned with the approved budget, including hours, costs, task and cost codes.
• Prepare and update Project Control Statements (PCS) and Financial Control Statements (FCS).
• Assess Estimate to Complete (ETC) and revise Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasts based on manpower, scope and future requirements.
• Analyse variances between actuals, forecasts, EAC and approved budget.
• Enter and update task codes and sell rates in Oracle ERP; perform system checks for revenue, cost and gross margin accuracy.
• Coordinate with finance, HR and other functions to resolve time‑card, billing and project data issues.
• Prepare and upload resource plans, Manpower Mobilisation Requests and client invoices; follow‑up for approvals and payments.
• Support month‑end activities such as accruals, revenue recognition and cost validation.
• Run snapshots and reports in Ecosys or similar platforms; develop dashboards using Power BI and Excel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Cost Management or a related field.
• Experience with project control, cost forecasting and financial reporting in an engineering or construction environment.

Required skills

• Oracle ERP (task code and rate management)
• MS Power BI for dashboard creation
• Advanced Excel for data analysis
