Project Director – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are seeking a senior Project Director to lead a flagship wastewater treatment plant project in KIZAD, Abu Dhabi. The role offers full‑lifecycle involvement from detailed design through construction and a 12‑month operation & maintenance phase.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee design, construction, commissioning and O&M of a new 22,500 m³/day WWTP and the expansion of an existing plant.
• Manage installation of full MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) and telemetry systems.
• Deliver complete site infrastructure including roads, drainage, utilities and firefighting systems.
• Lead large multidisciplinary teams and multiple contractors to meet schedule, quality and safety targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations or major water‑infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership across design, construction and commissioning phases.
• Experience managing large, multidisciplinary contractor teams.
• Deep technical understanding of MEICA systems and wastewater treatment processes.
• Background in complex, high‑value infrastructure delivery in the UAE or similar markets.
