Project Director

About the role

The Project Director will lead large‑scale infrastructure projects for AECOM in Al Ain, overseeing all phases from mobilisation to handover. This senior position requires strategic oversight of technical, commercial, contractual and stakeholder activities to ensure delivery against programme, budget, quality, safety and sustainability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for multi‑disciplinary project teams.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, approved programmes, quality standards and client expectations.
• Act as the primary executive representative of the consultant, maintaining communication with clients, government authorities, utility providers and contractors.
• Manage financial performance, risk, and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead executive‑level meetings, progress reviews and strategic workshops with key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large infrastructure projects from inception to close‑out.
• Strong background in managing technical, commercial and contractual aspects of complex projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience liaising with clients, government bodies and contractors.
• Ability to drive project performance against schedule, budget, quality, safety and sustainability goals.
