Project Engineer – HVAC

About the role

The Project Engineer – HVAC will lead the planning, coordination and execution of HVAC works on construction projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, UAE authority regulations and project budgets. The role supports the Project Manager to deliver HVAC systems on time and within cost.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute HVAC works from initiation to hand‑over, reviewing drawings, specifications, BOQs and contracts.
• Prepare method statements, shop‑drawing coordination and detailed work programmes.
• Monitor progress against milestones, support overall project control and reporting.
• Provide technical support to site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors, resolving design discrepancies and site‑coordination issues.
• Coordinate HVAC activities with plumbing, firefighting, electrical and civil teams.
• Liaise with consultants, clients and authorities for approvals and inspections.
• Oversee QA/QC compliance, material submittals, testing, balancing, commissioning and performance verification.
• Assist in cost monitoring, variation orders, claims preparation and ensure zero material wastage.
• Maintain accurate project records, as‑built drawings and support procurement technical evaluations.
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies, promote safe working practices and attend safety meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in HVAC works within construction/MEP projects.
• At least 2–3 years in a project engineering role.
• Previous experience on UAE projects is mandatory.
