Project Finance Associate – Energy & Infrastructure (Dubai)

About the role

Join a top‑tier international law practice in Dubai as a Project Finance Associate, supporting a market‑leading Energy & Infrastructure team. You will work alongside a Partner on cross‑border transactions covering green hydrogen, solar PV, power & water, petrochemicals, and data‑centre projects.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate finance documentation such as facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements and hedging arrangements.
• Prepare and negotiate project‑side documents including PPAs, EPC/O&M contracts, offtake and concession agreements.
• Lead discrete workstreams, manage CP/CS processes and coordinate multi‑jurisdictional due‑diligence.
• Liaise with commercial banks, export credit agencies, governmental stakeholders and sponsors on complex risk allocation.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to business‑development initiatives.

Required profile

• 3–6+ years post‑qualification experience in project finance within an international or leading regional firm.
• Demonstrated experience on energy and infrastructure transactions.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to run workstreams independently.
• Common‑law qualification (e.g., England & Wales) preferred; Arabic fluency advantageous.
• Experience in the Middle East is a plus, but candidates willing to relocate to Dubai are also considered.
