Senior Associate – Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions

About the role

The Mergers & Acquisitions team in Dubai is looking for a Senior Associate with 6‑10 years post‑qualification experience. The role involves advising on large‑scale, complex, cross‑border M&A, venture capital, private equity and investment‑fund transactions for sovereign wealth funds, multinational corporations and regional funds.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on and execute complex cross‑border M&A, venture capital, private equity and investment‑fund deals.
• Draft, negotiate and finalise key transaction documents such as term sheets, share purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements and joint‑venture agreements.
• Manage due‑diligence, disclosure processes and transaction closings.
• Provide a high level of client service and develop strong client relationships.
• Supervise junior lawyers and paralegals, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Collaborate with corporate partners to lead large transaction teams and develop leadership skills.
• Participate in business‑development activities and promote the firm’s capabilities.
• Potentially undertake secondments with clients and explore associate transfer opportunities across the firm’s regional network.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with excellent academic credentials and experience at a leading international firm.
• Significant experience (6‑10 years PQE) on M&A, private equity, venture capital or investment‑fund matters.
• First‑rate technical legal skills and excellent English communication (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong client‑service orientation and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Maturity, gravitas, emotional intelligence and the ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse global team.
• Fluency in Arabic is an added advantage.
