Project Finance System And Governance Specialist

About the role

The Project Finance System and Governance Specialist will lead the design, governance and optimisation of SAP Project Systems (PS) for complex defence and international programmes. Acting as the bridge between Project Finance, PMO, Commercial Finance, IT and operations, the role ensures data integrity, financial traceability and scalable project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Own and govern SAP PS financial structures across all projects and portfolios.
• Maintain WBS integrity, ensure accurate project setup and alignment with commercial and operational structures.
• Support end‑to‑end financial flows across SAP, MSP, CRM, procurement, billing and reporting systems.
• Drive automation, system enhancements and transition from manual trackers to SAP‑based reporting.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, revenue‑recognition rules and invoicing readiness.
• Monitor data consistency, support audits and uphold financial controls.
• Collaborate with IT on system improvements, UAT and testing.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools for project visibility and forecasting.

Required profile

• Strong background in project finance, accounting and SAP PS.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams in large, complex programmes.
• Knowledge of IFRS and revenue‑recognition principles.
• Ability to analyse root‑causes and drive standardisation across entities.
