Project Interface Engineer

About the role

United Synergy is seeking a Project Interface Engineer to monitor project execution and serve as the focal point between our clients and suppliers on oil and gas projects. You will represent United Synergy in project meetings, manage documentation on Aconex, and use your technical background to review and challenge supplier deliverables while clearly explaining technical matters to the client.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor project execution against scope, schedule, budget, and quality, escalating risks and delays early.
• Act as the single point of contact between client and suppliers, ensuring clear, timely, documented communication.
• Represent United Synergy in kick‑off, progress, technical and close‑out meetings, preparing minutes and action trackers.
• Manage documentation on Aconex, including submittals, transmittals, RFIs, TQs and correspondence.
• Review vendor documents (datasheets, drawings, calculations, ITPs, procedures) for compliance with API, ASME, IEC, ISO standards.
• Challenge supplier technical proposals and deviations, following up on comment resolution until approval.
• Explain technical issues, deviations and solutions to the client in a clear, practical manner.
• Coordinate inspections, FAT and delivery milestones with suppliers and the client’s QA/QC team.
• Track vendor progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Ensure all activities comply with client HSE requirements and company procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in oil and gas projects, preferably in project engineering, interface or vendor coordination.
• Hands‑on experience with Aconex document control and workflows.
• Working knowledge of oil and gas standards (API, ASME, ISO, IEC) and project specifications.
• Experience reviewing vendor documents and handling technical queries and deviations.
• Preferably experience with ADNOC or major EPC contractors in the UAE.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; fluent English (additional languages a plus).
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred.
