Purchase & Sales Coordinator – Steel Industry

About the role

Adecco is seeking a Purchase & Sales Coordinator for a client in the UAE steel sector. The role bridges sales support and procurement, ensuring smooth order flow from quotation to delivery while maintaining optimal stock levels.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue quotations, negotiate pricing within approved margins, and convert leads into sales orders.
• Process sales orders in the ERP system, verify specifications, and coordinate with warehouse and logistics for timely delivery.
• Maintain customer relationships, track order status, and provide regular updates.
• Source materials from approved local and international suppliers, evaluate quotations, and issue purchase orders.
• Monitor supplier performance, manage import documentation, and ensure customs clearance when required.
• Coordinate stock levels based on sales forecasts and act as liaison among suppliers, customers, logistics providers, and internal teams.
• Support finance with payment follow‑ups and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in steel trading (carbon or stainless steel preferred).
• Experience in both sales support and procurement, preferably within the UAE/GCC market.
• Familiarity with supplier networks in Asia, Europe or the Middle East.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of steel grades and standards (e.g., SS304, SS316, A36, API).
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
