Purchasing Officer

About the role

The Purchasing Officer will manage the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and subcontracted services for projects across UAE sites. You will work closely with site, planning, and technical teams to ensure timely delivery, cost control, and adherence to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review Purchase Requests (PRs) and allocate items from existing warehouse inventory.
• Communicate with the warehouse team to avoid duplicate orders.
• Identify and survey potential market suppliers for unavailable or bulk items.
• Obtain price quotations, negotiate terms, and secure optimal deals.
• Evaluate supplier offers based on quality, price, payment terms, and delivery time.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) promptly, handling any issues that arise.
• Conduct daily follow‑ups on PRs and POs to ensure timely processing.
• Liaise with engineers to obtain precise item specifications.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers for updated price lists.
• Coordinate with logistics to arrange transportation of materials to warehouses and sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Proven experience in the UAE market and construction industry.
