QHSE Manager

About the role

The Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Manager will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of QHSE policies and management systems for a plant in Dubai. Reporting to the General Manager, the role ensures compliance with UAE regulations, corporate standards and contractual obligations while protecting people, the environment and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, implement and maintain an Integrated Management System aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001.
• Develop and update QHSE policies, procedures, work instructions and operational controls for the site.
• Provide regular performance updates, non‑conformity reports and risk assessments to senior management.
• Organise and follow up management review meetings, documenting audit results, objectives and improvement actions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable UAE safety and environmental laws, maintaining a legal register and acting as the primary liaison with authorities and certification bodies.
• Lead the preparation, submission and monitoring of permits, licences and regulatory reports.
• Design, implement and coordinate health and safety programmes to reduce occupational injuries and incidents.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing QHSE programs in an industrial or plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to communicate QHSE performance to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
