QHSE Officer

About the role

The QHSE Officer will ensure that the company maintains accreditation to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards, as well as local HSE regulations, across all contracts. The role supports the operations team on‑site to drive continuous improvement of the HSEQ culture and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure 100% compliance of inductions for all employees and conduct HSEQ training and awareness programs.
• Support operations with health, safety and environment matters, reviewing method statements, procedures and risk assessments.
• Conduct environmental aspect assessments, recommend controls and corrective actions.
• Carry out periodic HSE inspections/audits and report findings to the Facilities and HSEQ managers.
• Implement the HSE management system in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, international standards, local regulations and client requirements.
• Respond to accidents/incidents with first aid, rescue, evacuation, investigation and reporting.
• Coordinate with local authorities for permits, authorisations and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor field activities for HSE adherence and provide regular feedback to management.
• Develop and communicate HSE alerts and best practices.

Required profile

• NEBOSH IGC certification and OSHAD Grade B or C.
• Diploma or degree in Engineering.
• 4‑5 years of facilities management experience in residential and commercial properties.
• Strong communication, report writing and training abilities.
• Basic technical knowledge of fire and life‑safety systems.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
