Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join a construction project team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on conducting on‑site inspections, identifying and tracking defects (snags), and ensuring that all issues are resolved before unit handover to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out regular site inspections to detect project issues, defects and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare, update and manage punch lists for each project.
• Review inspection requests and guarantee resolution within 48 hours.
• Monitor daily and weekly progress, report challenges and track recurring major issues.
• Escalate unresolved or disputed snags with supporting evidence.
• Verify that contractors have completed and rectified all identified snags.
• Maintain continuous updates on handover, snagging and inspection activities using the designated portals and reporting systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of Quality Assurance experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong ability to coordinate with contractors and project teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving and reporting capabilities.
