Quality Control Technician – Powder Coating

About the role

The Quality Control Technician ensures that in‑process materials and finished powder coating products meet strict specifications. Working in a laboratory environment, the role supports production by delivering timely test results, identifying non‑conforming items, and maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and test powder coating samples during production according to defined inspection plans.
• Perform physical and application testing (color, gloss, film thickness, particle size, adhesion, impact resistance, etc.).
• Operate spectrophotometers and other color measurement instruments, evaluating results against approved standards.
• Verify test results before batch release, report out‑of‑specification findings, and support investigations of non‑conforming batches.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, perform routine calibration checks, and keep accurate usage records.
• Document all observations, measurements, and test results in QC reports and electronic records.

Required profile

• Technical or vocational qualification relevant to laboratory work or manufacturing quality.
• 1–3 years of experience in a QC laboratory, preferably with powder coatings, paints, or related coatings.
• Strong data‑analysis ability to identify trends and defects.
• Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of the local language is a plus.
