Quality Engineer (Emirati Talent)

About the role

The Quality Engineer will protect product quality and nurture a strong quality culture within EDGE Group’s HALCON division. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure that all materials, components and finished products meet rigorous standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement quality standards, control systems, testing procedures and inspection methods in line with industry standards such as First Article Inspection (FAI).
• Initiate and lead Material Review Board (MRB) sessions, develop corrective actions and record decisions in the ERP system.
• Drive continuous improvement by monitoring First Pass Yield (FPY), reducing defects, scrap and rework through root‑cause analysis (8D) and corrective actions.
• Conduct functional tests on finished products to verify operational integrity, performance and safety before delivery.
• Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements.
• Review and revise 2D drawings to create accurate inspection plans.
• Ensure testing and inspection are performed using appropriate equipment and measurement tools, maintaining precision and safety.
• Support production performance management by verifying conformance and productivity of the production system.
• Validate new processes and equipment to confirm they meet established quality standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of quality engineering principles, including FAI, MRB and 8D problem‑solving.
• Experience with ERP systems for tracking corrective actions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing and supply chain.
