Radar Systems Engineer – Advanced Defense Solutions

About the role

PULSE, the joint venture between EDGE and INDRA, is looking for a Radar Systems Engineer to drive the design of cutting‑edge radar solutions for defence applications. You will work across the full engineering lifecycle, from concept modelling to field qualification and customer support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead radar system architecture definition (Pulsed, FMCW, AESA) and specify RF and antenna parameters.
• Perform system modelling and performance analysis using Matlab/Simulink, Python or dedicated radar simulation tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical consistency and compliance with MIL‑STD and other defence standards.
• Execute hardware/software integration, testing and qualification in laboratory and field environments using professional RF measurement equipment.
• Support validation campaigns, troubleshoot issues at all levels, and contribute to design reviews, documentation and customer‑facing technical discussions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in radar system engineering or design.
• Proven ability to work within regulated, defence‑oriented environments.
• Hands‑on experience with radar test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Solid background in modelling tools (Matlab/Simulink, Python, ADS, CST).
• Strong communication skills for technical reviews and customer interactions.
