Recreation Attendant

About the role

The Recreation Attendant will join the Sports & Recreation department at Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort, delivering a variety of leisure activities and ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction in a luxury hospitality setting.

Key responsibilities

• Support the day‑to‑day operations of the Sports & Recreation department.
• Create and introduce new, culturally relevant activities that enhance the resort’s guest experience.
• Maintain sports and leisure equipment and ensure outsourced services meet required standards.
• Implement health and safety codes, with particular focus on child safety and the Minor Hotels Children programme.
• Deliver activities in a safe environment using qualified attendants (e.g., fitness leaders, aerobic instructors, lifeguards).
• Monitor programme success through participation numbers and guest feedback, adjusting offerings to maintain quality and originality.

Required profile

• Passion for hospitality and genuine warmth in guest interactions.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work with families and children safely.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Flexibility to adapt schedules to meet guest demand.

Required skills

• Knowledge of health and safety standards for sports and leisure activities.
• Ability to lead fitness, aerobic and lifeguard sessions.
• Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience monitoring participation metrics and gathering guest feedback.
