Recreation Manager

About the role

As the Recreation Manager at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, you will lead the Sports & Recreation department, creating memorable experiences that enhance guest satisfaction and differentiate the hotel in a competitive market.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Sports & Recreation department to ensure high guest satisfaction.
• Design and implement unique, culturally relevant recreation activities.
• Maintain quality standards for outsourced service providers.
• Lead health and safety compliance for all sports, leisure, and children’s programs.
• Supervise and train fitness, aerobics, and lifeguard staff, ensuring proper qualifications.
• Monitor program performance through participation numbers and guest feedback, adjusting offerings as needed.
• Collaborate with the Concierge to promote events and with the Spa team to maximize revenue.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Proven experience in hospitality recreation or leisure services.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Creative mindset to develop innovative activity programmes.
• Ability to work closely with guests, colleagues and external partners.

Required skills

• Fitness leader certification.
• Aerobics instructor qualification.
• Lifeguard certification.
• Comprehensive understanding of health and safety codes.
