Regional Controller - MEAP

About the role

The Regional Finance Controller for MEAP (Middle East, Africa & Pakistan) will partner closely with Area Leadership, the EMEA Finance Director and Country General Managers to drive the region’s financial performance and support strategic business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the MEAP Financial Planning & Analysis strategy, policies and procedures.
• Monitor performance against financial plans, communicate risks and opportunities, and support decision‑making for major initiatives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, monthly/quarterly close, and financial reporting for all MEAP affiliates.
• Ensure the integrity of financial books, maintain robust internal controls and compliance with local regulations and Abbott audit standards.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase productivity and financial discipline.
• Oversee talent development and staffing for the finance function across the region.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in regional finance leadership, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local statutory requirements and internal control frameworks.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders, communicate complex financial information clearly and manage cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decisions.
