Regional General Manager – APAC (UAE Nationals Only)

About the role

Etihad is seeking a senior UAE national to lead its commercial activities across the APAC region. The Regional General Manager will define the overall commercial strategy, build and manage an international sales force, and ensure that sales targets are achieved efficiently while supporting Etihad’s broader objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define, execute and monitor short‑ and long‑term sales plans aligned with Etihad’s corporate strategy.
• Innovate and lead strategic initiatives to meet sales targets within budget and schedule.
• Direct and prioritize selling activities, including resource deployment, channel strategy and customer engagement.
• Champion continuous improvement and standardisation of regional processes.
• Introduce new sales techniques and allocate resources to boost revenue and profitability.
• Identify major risks and issues, propose solutions and communicate them to senior leadership.
• Lead, coach and develop direct reports, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Use data‑driven insights to monitor performance, mitigate risks and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee the implementation of sales incentives, objectives and recognition programmes.
• Build a trusted network with key decision‑makers, stakeholders and industry bodies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of experience in the aviation industry, including at least 5 years in a senior commercial leadership role.
• UAE national with a strong passion for global markets.
• Willingness to relocate to Singapore, Thailand or Malaysia with full relocation support.
