Regional Internal Controls Manager

About the role

The Regional Internal Controls Manager supports the effective operation and continuous improvement of the financial control environment across the assigned region. The role ensures consistent application of the Group’s Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) and provides oversight, monitoring, training and operational support to in‑country finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the consistent application of the Group’s RACM across the region.
• Provide regional oversight, monitoring and training to finance teams.
• Collaborate with Regional Finance Controllers, Business Unit Controllers and Group Internal Controls to strengthen governance.
• Identify and remediate control gaps and monitor compliance with internal policies.
• Support the delivery of a high‑quality second line of defence within the region.
• Operationalise Group policies at the regional level without redesigning them.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance or internal control environments, preferably within a large multinational.
• Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional finance teams.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on governance and compliance.
• Experience in the energy or materials sector is advantageous.

Required skills

• Knowledge of risk and control matrices (RACM) and internal control frameworks.
• Familiarity with audit processes and governance best practices.
• Ability to deliver training and operational support to finance teams.
