Registered Midwife

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Registered Midwife to join the maternity services at Danat Al Emarat Hospital in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering evidence‑based, woman‑centred care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive antenatal assessments, monitoring, education and support for pregnant women.
• Assist and manage normal labour and delivery, monitoring fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs.
• Recognise and respond to obstetric emergencies, administer prescribed medications and provide pain‑management support.
• Deliver immediate postpartum care, assess newborn health and support breastfeeding.
• Offer postnatal education, emotional support and follow‑up for mothers and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with obstetricians, paediatricians and nursing staff.
• Ensure infection prevention and control practices are adhered to at all times.

Required profile

• Registered Midwife with a valid licence to practice in the UAE.
• Demonstrated experience in antenatal, labour, delivery and postnatal care.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care and cultural sensitivity.
