Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

About the role

The Emergency Department at Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care for urgent and emergent cases. You will work closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to assess, stabilize, and manage patients in line with DOH/DHA regulations and evidence‑based guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive emergency nursing duties, including assessment, triage, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.
• Administer medications and operate emergency equipment safely and efficiently.
• Communicate promptly with physicians and the care team, escalating critical cases as required.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation according to hospital policies.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and preventive health measures.
• Uphold quality, safety, and infection‑control standards to ensure a safe care environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Valid medical license from the Department of Health (DOH).
• 3‑5 years of experience in an Emergency Department.
• Proven leadership or team‑lead experience.
• Strong critical‑thinking and decision‑making abilities under pressure.

Required skills

• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification (advantage).
