Remote Podcast Transcription and Speech Annotation

About the role

We are looking for a remote Transcription Specialist to join Project Freya, an AI‑driven speech initiative. You will work from anywhere to convert long‑form podcast recordings into accurate, time‑stamped transcripts while labeling speakers and annotating gender.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe full‑length podcast audio following detailed project guidelines.
• Identify and consistently label each speaker throughout the recording.
• Insert precise timestamps to segment speech.
• Determine the perceived gender of each speaker.
• Assess audio quality and flag issues such as unclear speech, strong accents, incorrect language, or synthetic audio.
• Verify and correct any pre‑annotated speech segments when required.
• Maintain high quality standards for all transcripts and annotations.

Required profile

• Native proficiency in Arabic (UAE) and fluent spoken and written English.
• Strong listening comprehension and attention to detail.
• Previous experience transcribing long audio files.
• Familiarity with voice‑assistant interactions is a plus.
