Research Assistant in Clinical Pharmacy/Pharmacy Practice

About the role

The University seeks a Research Assistant to support teaching and research activities in Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice. The role involves preparing instructional materials, supervising laboratory sessions, and assisting faculty with research projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver teaching material such as syllabi, visual aids, answer keys, supplementary notes, and course websites.
• Supervise practical sessions in a laboratory or simulation pharmacy.
• Assist faculty and researchers in conducting scientific projects and research activities.
• Arrange equipment maintenance, follow GLP and SOPs, and ensure proper laboratory operation.
• Lead discussion sections, tutorials, and laboratory sessions.
• Support academic research, manuscript preparation, and journal production.
• Meet regularly with the supervisor to discuss research assignments.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year full‑time experience in a similar university‑level position.
• Research activity experience in a relevant field.
• Pharmacy practice experience and familiarity with the UAE pharmacy system (advantageous).
• Proficiency in English (essential); Arabic desirable.
