Research Assistant in Earthquake Engineering

About the role

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is looking for a full‑time Research Assistant to support cutting‑edge studies in earthquake engineering. The role focuses on experimental and numerical investigations of reinforced concrete structural systems and the dissemination of findings through international journals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct experimental tests on reinforced concrete (RC) structural systems to evaluate seismic performance.
• Develop and run numerical models for structural response assessment.
• Perform dynamic response simulations of structures under earthquake loading.
• Prepare research reports and submit findings to peer‑reviewed journals.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (MSc) in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Civil Engineering, also specialized in Structural Engineering.
• Experience in structural earthquake engineering, particularly testing and dynamic simulations.
