Research Associate – Humanities & Social Sciences

About the role

The Humanities and Social Sciences Research Centre at Ajman University is seeking a full‑time research faculty member. The position involves collaborating with senior researchers on projects across the humanities and social sciences, conducting rigorous research, and contributing to scholarly publications.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior faculty on research projects and conduct literature reviews.
• Collect, organize, and analyse data using appropriate research methods and tools.
• Perform statistical analysis, interpret findings, and prepare comprehensive research reports.
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing research projects, managing timelines and resources.
• Support grant writing and help secure research funding.
• Participate in organising meetings, workshops, conferences, and academic events.
• Contribute to the editing of newsletters and ensure compliance with ethical standards.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant humanities or social sciences discipline.
• Strong research skills and solid understanding of research methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.
• Prior experience in academic research and publication is advantageous.
• Bilingual or trilingual proficiency and experience in grant proposal writing are strong assets.
