Research – Senior Officer

About the role

The Research Senior Officer will support Dubai Customs in shaping and updating strategic plans across all units. This role combines trend analysis, methodology development and compliance verification to ensure the organization’s strategy aligns with its vision, mission and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Research emerging trends and best‑practice methodologies for strategic planning.
• Prepare, review and revise strategic plans for each organizational unit and for Dubai Customs as a whole.
• Verify that unit plans comply with the Strategy and Excellence department’s guidelines.
• Collect and analyse feedback from stakeholders to improve strategy effectiveness.
• Assist in developing strategies that enhance employee and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Graduate in a relevant business discipline with appropriate certifications or professional qualifications.
• 4‑5 years of relevant business experience, including project work and exposure to training new team members.
• Experience in acting as a supervisor or manager on assignments.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and research capabilities.
• Knowledge of strategic planning processes and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
