Reservoir Engineer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Reservoir Engineer will support the reservoir engineering team at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company by performing routine reservoir studies, well surveillance and pressure analysis. The role involves translating data into operational guidelines and contributing to the development of depletion strategies for assigned fields.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, calibrate and update pressure test data, well charts and data files.
• Develop and run computer simulation models to evaluate past performance and forecast future reservoir behavior.
• Perform well evaluation studies, calculate injectivity indices and prepare related reports.
• Monitor oil, gas and injection well performance, recommend testing frequency and pressure monitoring plans.
• Liaise with contractors, review study findings and propose actions to maximise hydrocarbon recovery.
• Maintain pressure analysis charts, update well files with monthly production data and ensure data consistency.
• Participate in reservoir engineering analyses, including flow‑back and build‑up test interpretation.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years (72 months) of experience in reservoir engineering or related oil‑field operations.
• Proven ability to develop and interpret reservoir simulation models.
• Strong analytical skills for pressure test evaluation and well performance monitoring.
• Experience working with well data, logs and production reporting.
