Restaurant Captain

About the role

The Restaurant Captain will lead the service team at Raffles Dubai’s upscale salon, ensuring the highest standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction. This role combines front‑of‑house leadership with hands‑on service to create a seamless dining experience for both local and international guests.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain LQA service standards and monitor daily reports and VIP arrivals.
• Present menus, describe dishes, and answer guest queries with detailed knowledge of all food and beverage items.
• Serve, clear, and reset tables using appropriate service ware while maintaining an unobtrusive presence.
• Operate the POS system to process sales, print checks, and complete cash‑out procedures.
• Handle guest concerns promptly, escalating to the supervisor or manager as needed.
• Ensure the restaurant remains clean, orderly, and fully stocked throughout service.
• Prepare specialty coffees, teas, and both alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in a fine‑dining or luxury hotel environment.
• Strong communication skills and a polished, professional demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and coordinate a team during busy periods.
• Commitment to safety, sanitation, HACCP, and hygiene policies.
