Restaurant Hostess (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

The Restaurant Hostess is the first point of contact for guests in the hotel’s dining venue. Fluent Arabic is required to welcome Arabic‑speaking visitors, manage reservations and ensure smooth seating. The role supports a high‑standard, 5‑star dining experience at Fairmont Ajman.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
• Manage the reservation system, including booking, confirming and updating reservations.
• Organise seating arrangements to ensure smooth guest flow and service efficiency.
• Communicate wait times and escort guests to their tables, providing menus and information on specials.
• Handle guest inquiries, especially for Arabic‑speaking guests, and coordinate with the service team.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the host stand, lobby and dining area.
• Collect guest feedback and report issues to the Restaurant Manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (speaking and writing).
• Professional, friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, remain calm during busy periods and work flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays.
