Restaurant Hostess

About the role

The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at Banyan Tree Dubai's restaurant, creating a welcoming first impression and ensuring a smooth dining experience from arrival to departure. This full‑time, on‑site position requires a polished, professional demeanor and the ability to manage guest flow efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, provide a personalized welcome, and escort them to their tables.
• Manage daily reservations using the restaurant booking system, handle walk‑ins, waiting lists, and special guest preferences.
• Coordinate table allocation with service and management teams to optimise seating and minimise wait times.
• Maintain accurate reservation records and seating plans, updating them in real time.
• Communicate wait times clearly and manage guest expectations during peak periods.
• Ensure the host stand and surrounding areas are tidy and presentable at all times.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable attitude.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with restaurant reservation/booking software.
