Retail Sales Manager - Automotive

About the role

The Retail Sales Manager – Automotive will lead the retail outlet’s sales performance, build lasting customer relationships, and ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will identify key clients, tailor solutions to their needs, and support the team in achieving revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain the retail facility’s image through advertising and a visible presence on the shop floor.
• Plan, forecast and develop sales objectives, balancing customer needs, sales consultants and facility requirements.
• Motivate, train and develop the sales team, acting as a role model and achieving training goals.
• Monitor variables affecting the business plan, including supply, demand, competition, pricing, financing and insurance rates.
• Achieve sales and customer‑satisfaction targets as defined by the company.
• Implement and enforce the company’s QHSE and OSH policies, delegating authority and managing risk.
• Ensure all employees receive policy documentation, induction training and appropriate personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in automotive or retail environments.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet demanding targets.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage complex, culturally sensitive relationships.
• Good understanding of the local and regional market.
