Room Service Order Taker

About the role

The Room Service Order Taker is responsible for receiving guest orders via telephone, entering them accurately into the POS system, and ensuring seamless communication with the service and kitchen teams. This role supports the Food & Beverage department in delivering prompt, courteous, and professional service to hotel guests.

Key responsibilities

• Take guest orders by phone and record them correctly in the POS system.
• Coordinate with wait staff and minibar attendants to fulfil orders.
• Maintain punctuality, proper uniform, and grooming standards.
• Provide upselling information and suggest alternatives when appropriate.
• Monitor supplies, minimise waste, and keep the work area clean and organised.
• Execute opening and closing procedures for the outlet.
• Handle guest enquiries, report complaints promptly, and follow up with supervisors.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and inventory checks.
