Safety Manager

About the role

The Safety Manager will lead the implementation and monitoring of health, safety and environment (HSE) policies for infrastructure projects in Dubai, ensuring compliance with corporate standards, local legislation and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement corporate HSE policy, plans and legislation across all project sites.
• Monitor HSE performance, set targets and recommend improvement measures.
• Review and approve site safety plans, emergency plans, method statements and risk analyses submitted by contractors.
• Conduct regular HSE inspections, report findings and ensure immediate corrective actions.
• Coordinate monthly safety meetings, prepare minutes and track resolution of outstanding issues.
• Oversee contractors’ compliance with permit‑to‑work systems, toolbox talks, emergency preparedness and incident investigation procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, occupational safety or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience as a safety engineer on infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Relevant health and safety certifications recognized in the UAE (e.g., ISO, NEBOSH, First Aid, Fire Safety).
• Ability to attend in‑person interviews.
