Sales Manager – Events

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking a Sales Manager to lead its Events team. You will be responsible for driving conference, events, catering and group room revenue while ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Drive catering, conference, events and group business revenue by achieving budget targets, generating new business and negotiating contracts.
• Manage the end‑to‑end event sales process, including proposals, contracts, quotations, site inspections, BEO preparation and coordination with operational teams.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, handle complaints, gather feedback and grow key accounts to ensure repeat business.
• Maintain accurate sales records, participate in departmental meetings and collaborate across hotel departments for successful event execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality, Hotel or Business Management.
• Minimum three years of experience in hospitality sales, conference and events, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of conference, events and catering sales operations.
• Excellent communication, presentation and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Fluent English with strong verbal and written skills; Arabic is an advantage.
