Scaffolding Inspector

About the role

The Scaffolding Inspector will ensure that all scaffolding systems used on Oil & Gas EPC projects in the UAE are erected, modified, and dismantled safely and in line with approved standards. The role involves regular inspections, record‑keeping, reporting, and supporting safety training on site.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect scaffolding structures before use, after modifications, after adverse conditions, and at scheduled intervals.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, method statements, project specifications, and UAE/Oil & Gas safety standards.
• Check scaffold components such as platforms, guardrails, toe boards, bracing, ties, base plates, and tags for structural stability.
• Identify unsafe conditions, recommend corrective actions, and stop use when necessary.
• Maintain accurate inspection checklists, registers, and documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and incident‑related inspection reports and communicate findings to HSE and construction teams.
• Support toolbox talks, awareness sessions, and training on safe scaffolding practices.
• Coordinate with Construction, HSE, QA/QC, and other project teams to ensure compliant scaffolding operations.

Required profile

• Diploma, technical qualification, or equivalent experience in scaffolding, construction, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Scaffolding Inspector on Oil & Gas, EPC, petrochemical, industrial, or major construction projects.
• Valid Scaffolding Inspector or Scaffolding Competency certification recognized in the UAE.
