School Cashier – Tuition & Payments

About the role

The School Cashier is responsible for accurately receiving, processing and recording all fee payments while delivering courteous service to parents and staff. This role ensures safe handling of cash and cash equivalents and supports the school’s financial operations in line with internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Collect tuition fees, canteen, event and extracurricular payments and record them in the ERP system.
• Reconcile daily cash collections with system reports and deposit funds into designated bank accounts.
• Follow up on outstanding tuition fees and prepare summary reports for the Finance Administrator.
• Track advance fee deposits, identify and resolve unidentified bank transactions.
• Maintain logs of current‑dated and post‑dated cheques for timely bank deposit.
• Manage school petty cash, record transactions and perform regular reconciliations.
• Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
• Ensure daily logging, end‑of‑day cash reconciliation and adherence to financial controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar cash handling or finance role.
• Understanding of school financial processes and ability to communicate effectively with staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an ERP system for fee recording and reporting.
