School Operations Manager

About the role

The School Operations Manager oversees the development, maintenance, safety and day‑to‑day running of the school’s facilities, administration and support services. Working closely with the Principal/CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Corporate Office, the role ensures that resources are managed efficiently and that the school operates to the highest standards of operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance on operational, financial and business matters to senior leadership.
• Contribute to the school’s improvement plan and long‑term sustainability goals.
• Lead environmental sustainability and operational efficiency initiatives across the campus.
• Organise and manage all administration and support services, including staff deployment and professional development.
• Manage budgets, monitor expenditure and prepare monthly financial reports, variance analysis and forecasts.
• Oversee third‑party service providers, ensuring KPIs, contracts and service standards are met.
• Ensure maintenance, security and efficient operation of buildings, grounds and facilities.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and safeguarding regulations.
• Promote the use of school facilities for events, conferences and community activities.

Required profile

• Ability to work closely with the Principal/CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Corporate Office.
• Experience in managing school operations, facilities and support services.
