Secondary Math Teacher

About the role

The International School of Choueifat in Dubai is seeking a dedicated Secondary Math Teacher to deliver the SABIS® curriculum and support student achievement. The role involves planning, delivering, and assessing mathematics lessons for secondary students while fostering a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver mathematics lessons using provided lesson plans or develop plans based on pacing charts, applying the SABIS® point system.
• Mark examinations and assessments according to departmental schedules.
• Collaborate with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department on disciplinary and performance matters.
• Maintain a conducive classroom environment through the SABIS® point system.
• Invigilate exams and ensure proper exam conditions.
• Support low‑performing students to improve motivation and achievement.
• Prepare students for external examinations by reviewing past papers and following revision schedules.
• Assist with duties such as testing, substitute teaching, student supervision for lunches, buses, and traffic control, as assigned.
• Participate in student‑life activities, including art, open house, and physical education events.
• Attend training sessions to enhance understanding of the SABIS® system.
• Undertake additional tasks or projects delegated by school management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in English (native speaker preferred).
• Strong communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
