Section Supervisor – Anatomic & Cytopathology

About the role

The Section Supervisor will lead the Anatomic Pathology and Cytopathology Section at American Hospital Dubai, ensuring smooth daily operations, high‑quality diagnostic services, and compliance with international accreditation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day activities of the Anatomic Pathology and Cytopathology laboratory.
• Train, mentor and supervise assigned laboratory staff.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and manage internal and external quality control programs.
• Troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and maintain equipment performance.
• Supervise proficiency testing and ensure accurate results.
• Manage laboratory materials, inventory, and statistical reporting.
• Evaluate, set up, and validate new testing methods.
• Maintain continuous compliance with CAP and JCIA accreditation standards.
• Handle information management, safety protocols, and daily bench requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience overseeing laboratory operations in anatomic pathology and cytopathology.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop laboratory personnel.
• Strong understanding of accreditation requirements (CAP, JCIA).
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
