Security Specialist

About the role

The Security Specialist provides high‑quality travel security briefings and real‑time risk advice to travelers, international assignees and corporate security managers. You will monitor emerging security threats, support situational awareness and contribute to a 24‑hour travel security operation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor client risk and advise on travel safety and security around the clock.
• Set up, coordinate and track travel tasks using GPS and client communications.
• Research and maintain awareness of current security environments through open‑source reports.
• Deliver verbal and written travel security briefs to clients.
• Scan, report and escalate security or disruption issues according to global thresholds.
• Support consultancy tasks as required.
• Travel to assigned countries to assess local conditions and expand provider networks.
• Stay informed on regional and global events affecting business travel.
• Follow all systems and procedures required by the security operations team.
• Participate in regular training related to travel security services.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification in politics, international relations or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• International work or personal experience.
• Fluent English plus additional language (Arabic, Chinese, Turkish, Urdu, Swahili, Russian, German, French or Japanese preferred).
• Strong interest in international affairs and global security.
• Knowledge of political and security issues in specific regions.
• Ability to explain complex situations to non‑experts.
• Excellent liaison and cross‑cultural communication skills.
