Security Supervisor – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Security Supervisor supports the Director of Security in safeguarding guests, associates and property at a Marriott hotel in Dubai. The role leads the security team during each shift, ensures compliance with safety policies and maintains all security equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage Security Guards throughout the shift.
• Train guards on safety and security drills and procedures.
• Maintain and update training records as directed.
• Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of all security‑related equipment.
• Report any security breaches to the Director of Security.
• Act as liaison with local police, fire station and nearest hospital.
• Deploy guards, conduct regular rounds of sentry posts and verify compliance with standing orders.
• Inspect the serviceability of firefighting equipment and ensure fault rectification.
• Review entry/exit logs for personnel, materials, vehicles and stores at shift start and end.
• Assume full accountability for all activities during the shift.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Formal training in Fire Fighting, First Aid and Life‑Saving drills from a certified institution.
• Prior experience in a security environment is mandatory.
• Strong commitment to guest service and brand standards.
• Physically fit, able to perform duties without disability.
• Professional appearance, ethical conduct and excellent interpersonal skills.
