Senior Accountant – Dubai

About the role

ESM is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to lead the full accounting cycle for its sports academy in Dubai. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and provide insights that drive profitability across coaching, events, facility rentals, and league operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end accounting processes, from source documents to audit‑ready financial statements.
• Manage VAT and corporate tax calculations, filings, and liaison with auditors and tax authorities.
• Prepare precise financial analysis and reports to support strategic decisions.
• Conduct due‑diligence financial reviews for potential academy acquisitions.
• Oversee revenue recognition, invoicing, and collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
• Standardise accounting and accounts‑receivable procedures across group entities.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Accountancy or Finance.
• Preferred professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience managing a full accounting cycle, preferably in a multi‑entity, fast‑paced sports or leisure environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
• Expertise in VAT and corporate tax regulations.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
