Senior Accountant – Group Financial Reporting & Budgeting

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead Group Financial Reporting and Budgeting for Aldar Properties in Abu Dhabi. The role will ensure accurate month‑end close, consolidation and preparation of financial statements in line with IFRS, while driving the annual budgeting process across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual closing and consolidation of all ledgers and accounts.
• Reconcile Group balance‑sheet schedules and follow up with subsidiaries on open items.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities, providing timely responses to audit queries.
• Lead the Group‑wide budgeting exercise, monitor budget execution and analyse variances.
• Perform financial analysis and cash‑flow forecasting for departments and subsidiaries.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in financial and management accounting, preferably within real estate or a similar industry.
• Experience with complex Group‑wide accounting and reporting, ideally in a publicly listed company.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and internal control frameworks.
• Proven ability to work with subsidiaries and cross‑functional teams.
