Senior Accountant – I2P (UAE National) – Dubai

About the role

The Senior Accountant – I2P is responsible for ensuring compliance with Al-Futtaim’s petty cash policies and supporting day‑to‑day financial operations. This role focuses on verification, processing and reconciliation of petty cash transactions while mitigating financial risks.

Key responsibilities

• Verify petty cash transactions against the Petty Cash policy and ensure all documents have paid stamps and original bills.
• Reject claims exceeding AED 5,000 per voucher and flag vouchers older than one month for the Team Lead.
• Process reimbursement requests using standard cash journal functionality and post petty cash expenses to the appropriate GL accounts.
• Handle petty cash queries, execute payment runs, review exceptions and book customer refunds.
• Create ZFI_Factl files for FAB card payments and maintain the petty cash master file.
• Verify, approve and process purchase float documents and manage prepaid cards.
• Review VAT code accuracy and ensure payroll‑related reimbursements are not processed through petty cash.

Required profile

• UAE national with a strong attention to detail.
• Minimum of 1 month of relevant accounting experience.
• Ability to work accurately with financial documents and adhere to internal policies.
• Proactive in supporting business units and participating in process‑improvement initiatives.
