Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the finance and reporting team of a leading insurance organisation. The role focuses on IFRS reporting, financial analysis and regulatory compliance within a fast‑paced corporate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, regulatory filings and management reports.
• Develop and maintain IFRS 17 workflows, reconciliations, accounting policies and reporting templates.
• Build and enhance IFRS 4 to IFRS 17 reconciliation processes and drive automation initiatives.
• Create chart‑of‑accounts mappings, ledger postings and reporting structures aligned with IFRS requirements.
• Participate in reporting automation and data transformation projects using Microsoft Office tools.
• Analyse financial data, variance reports and metrics to support management decisions.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure timely audit and reporting completion.
• Support regulatory reporting activities and respond to ad‑hoc financial data requests.
• Prepare dashboards, management presentations and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives focused on accuracy, efficiency and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA or CA) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or audit.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, especially IFRS 17.
• Prior experience in insurance, financial services or multinational environments is desirable.
• Fluent Arabic speaker.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
